India and Pakistan: Turning people of Today into the people of Past

So much hatred ... India and Pakistan. Two names, two nations. People with same roots, so similar yet so hell-bent on not leaving any opportunity to insult each other.

People, move on. Grow past the ancient thinking of seeing others for what their ancestors were. Yes, people have done wrong and yes there are some who are still doing it. But, pay attention to the lines you are about to read.

When a baby is born, be it in Pakistan or in India, it has zero hatred in the heart. And the ones who were born in the 90s and after were the same. But, were exposed to an environment that promotes hatred and toxic nationalism.

They were the ones who could have left everything behind. But, look at what they have grown into. Hating their neighbour citizens for the sins they have not even done.

The fight is not between the nations, it is with the thoughts and mindsets that force a child to see the other nation and its people as enemies. The things that need focus are not what the other nation has done wrong, but the wrong within one's own.

And if someone feels like I am overlooking terrorism, mark my words, there are people in both the nations who hate terrorism alike.

But, the main idea I want you to think about remains the same. Think of the kids who will be coming to this world. And think about what they can be. Think of what the two nations could be if the sins of the people of the past were left in the past. Think of what the two nations could be if the thoughts of dead people no longer affected the living. Think of a generation capable of having their own thoughts. Think of what could be and not of what was.
